Hashan Tillakaratne 

 Hashan Tillakaratne is a famous name in Sri Lankan cricket. On 27 November 1986 he played his first international match for Sri Lanka. He took retirement in the year of 2003.

In his 17 years long international cricket career, he played 131 innings in test matches and scored a total of 4545 runs. He had a total of 20 half-centuries and 11 centuries in his test cricket career. 204 (not out) was the highest score in his test career.

In One Day Internationals, he played 200 matches and scored a total of 3789 runs. He had a total of 2 centuries and 13 half-centuries in his ODI career. 104 was the highest score in his ODI career.

He has several achievements under his name such as the highest innings total without conceding a bey (5th), the most runs in an inning by batting position (8th), hundred and a duck in a match.

Angelo Mathews

Angelo Mathews was an all-rounder cricketer from the Sri Lankan cricket team. On 28 November 2008, Mathews played his first international match for Sri Lanka against Zimbabwe. In the year 2021, Mathews took retirement from international cricket.

In his 13 years long international cricket career, he played 178 innings in test cricket and scored a total of 6953 runs. In his test career, he had 38 half-centuries and 13 centuries under his name. 200 (not out) was the highest score in his test career.

He played 218 ODI matches and scored a total of 5835 runs. In his ODI career, he had a total of 3 centuries and 40 half-centuries. 139 (not out) was the highest score in his ODI career.

He has several achievements under his name such as most on a single ground (9th), hundred and ninety in a match, and hundred and a duck in a match.

Thilan Samaraweera 

Thilan Samaraweera is one of the best batsmen in the Sri Lankan team. On 6 November 1998, he played his first international match for Sri Lanka against India. 

He played 132 innings in test cricket and scored a total of 5462 runs. He had 30 half-centuries and 14 centuries in his test cricket career. His highest score in test cricket was 231.

In his career, he played 53 One Day International matches and scored a total of 862 runs. In his ODI career, he had a total of 2 centuries. 105 (not out) was the highest score in his ODI career.

He had several achievements under his name such as a hundred on debut, and most double hundreds in innings (2nd).

Kumar Sangakkara

KC Sangakkara was the captain of the Sri Lankan team. He was one of the best batsmen in the Sri Lankan team. For his excellent performance, KC Sangakkara is a very common name in the cricket world. On 5 July 2000, he played his first international match for Sri Lanka against Pakistan. He took retirement from international cricket in the year of 2015.

In his 15 years long international cricket career, he played 233 test innings and scored a total of 12400 runs. In his test career, he had a total of 52 half-centuries and 38 centuries. 319 was the highest score in his test cricket career.

He played a total of 404 day International matches and scored a total of 14234 runs. He had a total of 93 half-centuries and 25 centuries in his ODI career. 169 was the highest score in his ODI career.

He had several records under his name such as 16 times he became player of the match in his international career (5th), the most runs in an inning by a wicket-keeper (2nd), hundred in each innings of a match.

Mahela Jayawardane 

Jayawardane was an extraordinary player from Sri Lanka. He scored a century against India in the final match of the World Cup 2011. On 2 August 1997, Jayawardane played his debut match for Sri Lanka against India.

In his international career, he had played a total of 252 test innings and scored a total of 11814 runs. He had a total of 50 half-centuries and 34 centuries in his international test career. 374 was the highest score in his Test career.

He played 448 ODI matches in his career and scored a total of 12650 runs. He had 77 half-centuries and 19 centuries in his One Day International career. His ODI’s highest score is 144.

After a 17-year-long international cricket career, he took retirement in the year of 2015.

He had several achievements under his name such as most consecutive matches for a team (8th), most runs in a single ground, and most double hundreds in his career (4th).

Aravinda de Silva

Aravinda de Silva was a legendary batman of the Sri Lankan team. On 23 August 1984 Silva played his first international match for Sri Lanka against England. After a 19-year-long international cricket career, he took retirement in the year of 2003.

He played 159 test innings and scored a total of 6361 runs. In his test career, he had 22 half-centuries and 20 centuries under his name. His highest score in the test career is 267.

He played 308 One Day International matches for Sri Lanka and scored a total of 9284 runs. In his ODI career, he had 64 half-centuries and 11 centuries. 145 was the highest score in his One Day International career.

He had several achievements under his name i.e. hundred in each innings of a match, a hundred and ninety in a match, and two unbeaten 50s in a match.

Sanath Jayasuriya  

Sanath Jayasuriya had a 22-year long career in Sri Lankan cricket. He is known for his amazing performance. 16 December 1989 he made his debut for Sri Lanka against Australia.

He played more than 441 matches and scored a total of 13364 runs. He had a total of 68 half-centuries and 28 centuries in his international cricket career. The highest score in his international career is 189.

He had several achievements under his name such as most consecutive matches as a captain of a team (10th), most runs in an inning by batting position (3rd), and most triple hundreds in a career (5th).
