Elon Musk recently made a tweet about having a cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg. It was provoked by Meta’s new app expected to be called Threads. A top executive at Meta recently told employees that creators and public figures were interested in having a platform that is ‘sanely run’. The Meta CEO posted a screenshot of Musk’s tweet and captioned it “send me location”.
A tech billionaire punch-up
Musk responded to Zuckerberg by giving him a location and saying that he had a great move called ‘The Walrus’ where he lies on top of an opponent and does nothing.
Who would you root for in this potential fight between two of the richest men in the world? Would you place a bet on it if you had the opportunity to do so? With online betting being legal in many states in the U.S., the fight could potentially become a betting option at one of the sportsbooks.
Who would win the fight?
This is a question people may ask over a drink at the pub. Musk is 51 years old whereas Zuckerberg is only 39. Musk has a height and weight advantage but Zuckerberg has some Jiu-Jitsu skills and has even won medals in tournaments. He has agility and physical endurance.
Musk has admitted that he never works out but podcast host, Lex Fridman, did an impromptu training session with Musk and found that he was strong and powerful. Zuckerberg has sparred with Alexander Volkanovski, UFC featherweight champion and one of the best mixed martial artists in the world.
Whatever the outcome, the prospect of a fight like this is a highly entertaining one. It would create a highly immersive experience which is one of the best ways for businesses to bring in more clients. Who wouldn’t want to watch this fight no matter who is likely to win?
Not the first time
It isn’t the first time Musk has called for a fight with a prominent figure. In August last year, it was the Russian president Vladimir Putin that he wanted to fight. He didn’t get any response from Putin. Elon Musk’s future plans include sending the first crewed mission to Mars and launching an artificial intelligence product that will rival OpenAI.
Musk is a very busy man and it’s unlikely when he made the Tweet that he thought the fight would actually happen. Zuckerberg is more than ready to take him on and Musk would probably need quite a bit of training if he hoped to beat him. Experts say that all things considered, Zuckerberg has a better chance of winning. However, it won’t be a foregone conclusion without knowing more about what Musk possesses.
